Power Of 1 In Scrum

“One Story Every Day”

“Doing less is doing more …One story small enough in a day to Design , Develop , Tested , Released ”

Usually we Scrum Master advocate for 1 or 2 weeks as an ideal length of sprint.
And we talk about the importance of every day being a small sprint goal.
What we worked on yesterday has a connection to today’s goal either in a positive way or negative. Positive in a sense that we are able to complete the cycle of Design, Develop , Test & Release on a single day. Negative that we were not able to achieve the target with different forms of disruptions we encounter.
Now in a perfect world consider everyday being a sprint goal, the minimum number story that can be completed in a day is at least 1.

So, let’s say 1 day of development cycle gets us 1 story potentially shippable. That means in a 10-day sprint we would have at least achieved 10 stories. By this stupid equation we can say that we would have achieved at least 1 or more epic per sprint. Now it comes down to the priority of a PO on which epic they want to target.
